Female Hair Loss Remedy
A prescription drug commonly used for a swollen prostate may help with female balding. Hormonal alterations associated with menopause can sometimes trigger hair loss in women. Finasteride, a drug that helps keep the testosterone levels high and other male hormone levels low, can also keep balding in check. Ask your doctor for more information about treating female balding with this drug.
Note: Finasteride should be avoided by men contemplating fatherhood. (Women should also avoid it before and during pregnancy.)
